February 23, 2024

St. Josephs’ School, Jnana Jyothi, organized a lively 'Fun Day' on February 23, 2024, dedicated to the exploration of the Animal Kingdom, delighting pre-primary and primary students alike. The event aimed to make learning enjoyable while imparting valuable knowledge about various animals.

The theme of the day, "Animal World," captivated the Josephites, evident in their enthusiastic participation and preparation. Through engaging activities, the students learned about both wild and domestic animals. They discovered the diversity of wildlife in Indian forests, including elephants, tigers, lions, rhinoceroses, and bears. Additionally, they explored the role of domestic animals like cows, goats, horses, and buffaloes, understanding their significance in human life, particularly in providing essentials like milk and eggs.

The students also gained insights into aquatic animals, distinguishing between freshwater animals found in ponds, lakes, and rivers, and marine animals inhabiting seas and oceans. Birds, with their beautiful feathers and varied species like sparrows, doves, and eagles, captured their imagination. Furthermore, they learned about the remarkable success of insects, ubiquitous in terrestrial and freshwater habitats worldwide.

Emphasizing the importance of responsible pet ownership, the session highlighted the companionship and joy pets bring to families. Dogs and cats were spotlighted as popular choices for pets, underscoring the pleasure and responsibility associated with keeping them.

The interactive and informative activities received commendation from the school's director, reflecting the success of placing children at the heart of education. By instilling values and fostering curiosity, the school ensures students are well-prepared for their journey ahead. Overall, the 'Animal World' exploration proved to be a fruitful endeavor, enriching students' knowledge and leaving them with a plethora of information to cherish.
