Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola Celebration

The Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at St. Joseph's Institutions, Anekal, on 30th July 2026 in the Quadrangle.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome to all the dignitaries, staff, and students. This was followed by a serene and spiritual prayerful dance performed by the college students.

The dignitaries then participated in the ceremonial showering of flower petals on the photo of St. Ignatius and the watering of a plant, symbolizing life, growth, hope, and the nurturing of values in society.

The gathering was addressed by distinguished speakers:

- Sr. Swetha Jose, CSA, Headmistress, Little Flower Innovative School, Anekal, delivered an inspiring speech encouraging a life of faith, compassion, and service.

- Fr. Santhosh Fernandes, SJ, Principal, spoke on the life, mission, and Ignatian values of St. Ignatius of Loyola.

- Fr. John Thomas, SJ, delivered a practical message urging students and teachers to become responsible, compassionate, and value-based individuals.

The celebration continued with a Prize Distribution Ceremony. Winners of the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola competitions from both the school and the college sections were felicitated for their talent and participation.

This was followed by vibrant cultural performances:

- Energetic dances by students of Primary Section (Classes IV to VI) and college students

- A meaningful skit depicting the life, conversion, and service journey of St. Ignatius of Loyola

- An entertaining magic show that added joy and excitement to the event

The programme concluded on a joyful and inspiring note, leaving everyone deeply moved by the teachings and legacy of St. Ignatius of Loyola.

Sweets were distributed to all the students of St. Joseph's Institutions as part of the Founder's Day celebration.
