Educational Visit to Canara Bank

February 20, 2026

On 20th February 2026, the students of 4th std were taken on an educational visit to Canara Bank, Anekal, to gain practical exposure to banking activities and financial services. The primary objective of the visit was to help students understand how banks function and to instil the importance of saving money from a young age.

On our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Mr. Sathyendra Dutt Swami (Chief Manager), Ms. Sapnapriya (Manager), Mr. Vicky Vikram (Officer), and Ms. Roshima K.P. (Officer). The staff patiently explained the various services provided by the bank, including opening savings accounts, depositing and withdrawing money, the use of ATMs, different types of loans, and online banking facilities.

The students were taken around the bank premises and introduced to different sections such as the customer service desk, cash counter, and the passbook updating machine. They were also briefed on the security measures adopted by the bank to ensure the safety of customers’ money and personal information. This helped students understand the importance of trust, responsibility, and confidentiality in financial institutions.

The bank officials interacted enthusiastically with the students, answered their questions, and encouraged them to develop healthy saving habits. The real-time exposure to banking operations made the learning experience engaging and meaningful. Students were excited to observe how theoretical concepts learned in the classroom are applied in real-life situations.

The visit was highly informative and beneficial. It enhanced the students’ financial awareness, strengthened their understanding of banking procedures, and motivated them to cultivate responsible financial habits.
